Here’s what we covered in class on April 30th.
6:00pm White Belts
Punching – In Horse Stance, Left Hand First
- Middle Punch
- High Punch
- Low Punch
Blocking – In Horse Stance, Left Hand First
- Middle Block – “Scoop the ice cream, look at your nails!”
- High Block – “Scoop the ice cream, show your arm pit!”
- Low Block – “Hand to your shoulder, dust the dirt!”
- Outside to Inside Block – “Hand to your ear, catch the fly!”
6:50pm White Belts w/ 1 stripe
Combination #1
- RIGHT leg back Fighting Stance
- Jab
- Reverse Punch
- REAR leg Front Snap Kick – “Bend it, Kick it, Bend it, Back”
- Repeat with RIGHT side
Combination #2
- RIGHT leg back Fighting Stance
- REAR leg STEPPING Front Snap Kick – “Bend it, Kick it, Stomp it”
- Jab
- Reverse Punch
- Repeat with RIGHT side
Combination #3
- Start from Choon Be
- Stepping Forward with the left leg
- Front Hand Middle Block
- Reverse Punch
- Repeat with RIGHT side
7:40pm Colored Belts
We covered in detail One-Step Sparring 1 and 2. White belts should continue to practice 1 and 2, focusing on the 4 counts of the technique. All others should be practicing all their previous One-Step Sparring techniques.
